GrapheneOS Adds T-Satellite Support
GrapheneOS release 2026110100 adds T-Satellite support, fixes Android Auto conflicts, and moves Pixel 10 models to Linux 6.18.

GrapheneOS adds T-Satellite support in release 2026110100, alongside a substantial collection of platform, compatibility, security, and kernel changes. The project says the satellite-based cellular implementation was confirmed with T-Mobile’s T-Satellite service. It also says the new implementation avoids earlier API problems that partially broke Android Auto.
The GrapheneOS release notes identify 2026110100 as a tagged build for every officially supported Pixel generation from the Pixel 6 through Pixel 10 families, including the Pixel Tablet and foldable models. A separate signed release tag on GitHub records the same version in the project’s platform manifest.
What changed for satellite service
The central user-facing addition is working support for satellite-based cellular service. GrapheneOS says it tested the implementation with T-Satellite and confirmed that it works.
The release note is carefully limited: it names T-Satellite as the confirmed service, not every satellite carrier or emergency-satellite product. Owners should therefore avoid treating the change as a general promise that every satellite feature offered for a Pixel will work with GrapheneOS.
The project also connects this work to Android Auto. According to the notes, the previous satellite APIs malfunctioned in a way that left Android Auto partially broken. Release 2026110100 avoids those earlier problems while adding the working satellite implementation.
This matters most to GrapheneOS users who subscribe to T-Satellite or have encountered Android Auto trouble associated with the previous APIs. It does not change the project’s device list: the release remains a Pixel build covering the Pixel 6, Pixel 7, Pixel 8, Pixel 9, and Pixel 10 families and their listed variants.
Pixel 10 receives a newer kernel branch
Release 2026110100 moves the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and Pixel 10 Pro Fold to the Linux 6.18 kernel branch. The notes say all drivers for those four models were ported to that branch.
The Pixel 10 kernel work also includes fixes for recovery from cellular-radio boot failures and several upstream pKVM and SMMU problems involving DMA mapping, error handling, and timeout detection. Other listed corrections cover memory-lifetime and cleanup problems across interconnect, charging, display, touch, input, storage, battery-monitoring, modem, and other device drivers.

GrapheneOS also stopped building Pixel kernels with link-time optimization. Its explanation is that kernel control-flow integrity does not require LTO, Google’s Pixel OS stopped using it, and the combination of Rust, BTF, and LTO is incompatible with the newer kernel branches.
Security and app compatibility changes
The update adds a fix for a remote denial-of-service vulnerability from the November 2026 security bulletin. GrapheneOS says that flaw had already been fixed in its security-preview releases since July 2026.
Other fixes address an upstream use-after-free bug in Android’s picture-in-picture touch handler, upstream block-layer races, and CVE-2026-98432. The project notes that MPTCP, the component associated with that CVE, was already disabled in its kernels and that additional defenses included memory tagging.
Compatibility work includes a fix for a GmsCore crash in the Sandboxed Google Play compatibility layer. The release also reverts two added protections after compatibility problems: making CredentialSelectorActivity opaque and applying the same treatment to FIDO activities. Vanadium moves through versions 156.0.8078.73.0 and 156.0.8078.79.0, while the App Store, Messaging, TalkBack, and GmsCompatConfig components also receive updates.
What owners should do
- Check the version reported by GrapheneOS before testing satellite service; the relevant tagged release is 2026110100.
- If you use T-Satellite, test messaging or supported connectivity somewhere safe before depending on it outside terrestrial coverage.
- Recheck Android Auto after updating if the earlier satellite API behavior affected it.
- On a Pixel 10-series device, allow the normal update process to complete and reboot before judging cellular or recovery behavior.
- If you are considering installation, confirm that your exact model appears in the project’s supported release list or start with the browser installation guide.
